MPSi is proud to announce that it recently commissioned the first Varian Edge linear accelerator at Champalimaud Foundation in Lisbon, Portugal! This is the first Edge linear accelerator to enter clinical operations worldwide. The results of the beam data commissioning support and the work performed by the physicists at Champalimaud Foundation were presented at the Varian’s ESTRO 2014 Users Meeting, in Vienna, by the principal physicist, Sandra Vieira. The radiation therapy medical director, Dr. Carlo Greco, is leading a team of experts to implement the innovative treatment technologies that are available with the new Edge stereotactic radiosurgery suite.
